It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our SIHHOA Board Secretary, Julie Miller, in December 2017. Julie had served on the Board since 2015; her dedication and cheery smile will be sorely missed by our SIHHOA Board, residents and guests. Condolences may be sent to her husband Andy at 1531 W. Acala St. in Green Valley.

Cheryl McDonald has been elected by the SIHHOA Board to serve as Secretary in Julie’s absence. Cheryl is in the process of updating the website and getting up to speed on secretarial duties. Upcoming Events.

*  The January 2018 SIHHOA Board Meeting has been changed, for this month only, to Wednesday, January 24th at 8:30am at the Ramada.

*  The Annual Board Meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 20th from 9:00-10:30am at Canoa Hills Rec. Center; registration will begin at 8:45am. An information packet with Meeting materials will be sent out later this month.

*  Termite Inspection: A benefit of your San Ignacio Heights Homeowners’ dues is an annual termite inspection currently provided by Terminex. They will contact you to schedule this inspection. If you have questions about this, contact the Terminex Representative, Ellen Fitzgerald, at (520) 838-2637or (520) 309-7341. For further questions, call Dale Miller SIHHOA Vice President, at (360) 325-3110.

*  Saturday Ramada Get-Togethers: These will be held at our Ramada on the third Saturday morning of every month (November through April) and are hosted by the various neighborhoods in our HOA. Stop by for a chance to meet your neighbors over coffee and breakfast treats!

History.  San Ignacio Heights was developed by Fairfield Homes and incorporated in 1989. There are 161 lots within the Association.  In addition, there are approximately fifteen acres of common ground and 1 1/2 miles of privately owned roads that are the responsibility of the Association.  SIH also owns the small ramada building located on Mariquita Drive that is available for the use of the Association members.

Location.  The neighborhood is located in Green Valley, an area that lies in the southern portion of unincorporated Pima County.  It is located on the west side of I-19, between the exits for Continental Road and Canoa Road, and just off Camino del Sol.  The neighborhood is tucked behind and wraps around the San Ignacio Golf Course and takes advantage of the panoramic views of the Santa Rita Mountains to the east.

New Neighbors.  We all know it can be somewhat challenging when moving into a new neighborhood.  As a current member of our San Ignacio Heights HOA, please stop by and introduce yourself to new neighbors.  Please let newcomers know who your block captain is (if not available, contact Carol Wilking Block Captain Chair at (520-300-6261 or email, dcwilking@yahoo.com), when we hold meetings and social events, and mention that our HOA has a web site on the Internet (www. sihhoa.org).  Let them also know that we would like to add them to our Directory (contact Cheryl McDonald, 509-413-6745 or by e-mail at fairwind38@hotmail.com).  All information on our directory is private and not shared with anyone outside of San Ignacio Heights.

Board of Directors.  We have a Board of Directors consisting of five elected members to oversee the affairs of the Association.  Unless otherwise announced, the SIH HOA Board of Directors meeting is scheduled to meet on the third Wednesday of each month, at 8:30 a.m. at the Ramada on Mariquita.  It does not meet during June and July.  SIH HOA members are invited to attend.

Homeowner Dues.  The current annual homeowner dues are $450.00.  Your Board of Directors wishes to thank all the homeowners for paying this year’s dues on time.

There is time at the beginning of each meeting for residents to address the board.
